Last Day Reflections

What did you learn about photography that you did not know before?
Throughout this semester in photography, I learned many different things. I learned about the three point rule, which make photo a lot more appealing to the eye. I, also learned about light and where the light of a photo should be located for a good photograph. I learned how to use photoshop and the tools that are useful when editing. There are many more concepts of photography that I learned but these are some of the specific examples.

What did you learn about yourself this semester?
This semester I learned that I'm determined to get things done and am kind of a perfectionist. I knew that I had these qualities or traits but it showed a lot this semester. I want things to be perfect whenever I am trying to accomplish something, and am very determined to make these things happen.

What do you wish we done that we did not do?
I wish we would have done action shots, or moving photography. Most of my time is spent dancing, and it would have been fun to take some dancing shots.

What did you conquer?
In this class I conquered getting my photographs to class on time. This was difficult because I do not have much time out of school to take photos. I tried to get different places and people to take pictures of which was also very difficult. Overall I conquered getting my photographs in on time, and having a variety of photographs with different people or settings.

LIght

These photos were all taken emphasizing light. There are direct light photos and silhouettes. I liked taking silhouette photos more than the direct light photos because there were many more possibilities of how, and where to take your silhouette photos. I found that it was difficult to take the picture at the right angle to the sun to be able for it to become a silhouette, and creating the right pose to distinguish what the silhouette is of in the photo. The direct light was difficult to capture because it was hard to cast shadows on your face from the placement of the light. I found that the way you place light, the angle you take it from, and posing the right way was important to be able to see the shadows or silhouettes.
